What's new?
Submitted by dave on Tue, 06/17/2008 - 6:30pmSo what's new? Nothing much, getting used to baby, and that's a hard one. Not that I would give him up for the world, but he's definitely needy. I feel like I've really been neglecting contacting people and whatnot but it's hard when you have a newborn, work and life in the way of everything. So if I haven't e-mailed in a while or given you a call it's not hate in my heart, just missing the free time I had before.
Other than that not much is going on. I have a few more pictures in Sean's Gallery but not a lot of recent ones yet (bad daddy). I hope to have some more this weekend, really all I've added to Sean's pictures now are the ones I've received from Ben and Mom and Dad from around his birth. More to come I promise.
Baby Sean has arrived!
Submitted by dave on Sun, 06/01/2008 - 3:09pmSean Matthew Chandler was born on May, 23 at 4:38p MDT at Mountain View Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM. He weighed 6lbs and measured 18" tall. We'll keep news about him posted here of course and I have created a gallery for him that can be reached at http://azbay.net/gallery/v/people/sean. Right now there's only one sub gallery but there's more to come surely. Thanks for all the help and gifts! Hope we can get out to see everyone soon. Time for the weekend…
Submitted by dave on Fri, 04/04/2008 - 9:12pm…what an unbelievably long week! I'm tired but I felt like making one more post. I'm still working out bugs in the pathauto module that makes aliases to my stories from the title so this story is accessible from http://azbay.net/time_for_the_weekend instead of something funky like http://azbay.net/node/242, which is more for me than you, but if you're interested I also went over it here a couple days ago.
Anyway, testing this one last thing, and after writing that last heartfelt post I'm going home, sucker! I'm OUTTA HEEEEERRRRRRREEEEEEE!
Some good news for once…
Submitted by dave on Fri, 04/04/2008 - 9:01pm…amid all our previous experiences with the doctors, yesterday we received the news that the nuchal fold thickening that they had noticed in two previous ultrasounds was in fact normal. This, for us, a huge relief. God willing the supposed issue they found with the baby's heart (more on this later) isn't going to be anything either.
Improvements to the site…
Submitted by dave on Tue, 04/01/2008 - 2:19pm…have been underway for about a week now. Mainly unnoticeable for most of you as they are upgrades to the back-end of my site. The main upgrade was to Drupal for our CMS, and we just moved from the 5.x version to the 6.x version. Again, not much you'd notice reading the site but it's made some major improvements to the way the site works and the administration of the site.
I also upgraded Gallery, my excellent photo gallery software, from version 2.2 to the development version. Not something I really would want to do normally but with the 6.x upgrade to Drupal, and its associated Gallery module, the requirement for the software went from the 2.2 version to the development 2.3 version. So far I haven't noticed any issues, hopefully this will continue.
nochiefs' twitter
- nochiefs: Ahh… the last day at work before the University shuts down. It's always nice, no one's here. You can get away with a lot with no boss ;-)
- nochiefs: Need to keep up with twitter… I haven't posted in at least a month.
- nochiefs: Working' hard or... hardly working'. Sometimes I get those confused.
- nochiefs: Argh, sometimes I get annoyed with the touch's keyboard. Anyway, now I don't feel like finishing the last post. You'll just have to wonder.
- nochiefs: Not much to update. Just working my arse off at work, underapprecf
